tender document is prepared based on the budgeted estimate. Various items of work and the quantity there of are detailed out in the \u2018Bill of Quantities\u2019. Bids are invited from competent contractors based on the tender document. The contractors have to quote their rates against the respective items for the specified quantities. Various bids thus received are evaluated on techno-commercial basis and this submission is made to the clients. After holding a meeting with the members, various contractors are called for personal interviews and financial negotiations.
